About the Job

The i3TOUCH development team focuses on designing and delivering the world’s most helpful smart interactive flat panel experience. The team works on shaping the future of interactive devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in education and corporate market. This includes bringing together the best of i3-technologies’ artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global interactive flat panel display and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

The team designs and builds premium devices and services that showcase the potential of the Android platform. We are driven to revolutionize the way people interact with newer and smarter devices with Android platform. In this role, you will develop the system software stack for future smarter devices ranging from architecting, designing, developing, testing, and deploying complex devices.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of Engineers  to design and implement the system software stack for i3TOUCH devices.
• Lead software feature development from architecture to landing.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain the drivers and frameworks for the software features on Android devices.
• Create validation tools and test cases to verify the functionality of the hardware and software.
• Optimize and improve software quality including system stability, power consumption, and system performance.

Requirements

Mandatory skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience with software development in developing C/C++.
• 5 years of experience in development, testing and deployment for Android Board Support Packages (BSP), Linux device drivers, Linux kernel modules, or FreeRTOS drivers/modules.
• Valid passport.

Desirable Skills

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 7 years of experience in architecture and design.
• Experience in embedded software/firmware architecture design, device driver/HAL development, Linux/Android system optimization, power/thermal management, performance optimization, or graphic related development.
• Excellent technical documentation skills.
• Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin fluently.
• Taiwan based.

Additional

• This is a home-based, position with >60% of travel (which may include some international travel).
